Are you still paying foreign currency transaction fees on your credit card?  If the answer is yes, you should not be.  On many credit cards, the credit card company charges a fee (known as a foreign currency transaction fee) when you charge expenses in a currency that is different than your home currency.  While many credit cards charge nearly 3% for this fee, there are cards that charge no fees .  If you are traveling away from your home country, you should find a card with no annual fee that does not charge a foreign currency transaction fee.  It will save you up to 3% on each of your purchases and, given than there are many options out there with no annual fee, it is a great and easy way to save money.

I love all-you-can-eat buffets, especially in Las Vegas.  My waist line, however, does not appreciate buffets.  Nonetheless, I must recommend a new Vegas deal if you like to eat at buffets in Vegas.  Harrahs is now selling a pass allowing all day access to eat at seven Vegas area buffets including Paris, Caesars, Planet Hollywood, etc.  Each pass is $39.99 plus tax for Total Rewards members and $45.99 for non-members. I'll admit it - I used to always book the smallest car when booking a car rental in an attempt to save money.  You know that tiny car that the car rental company really does not want to rent - I would take it.  Well, that might not be the smartest decision anymore.  Car rental companies frequently have car rental coupons that are only good on some of those larger cars.  (Here is one example - if you rent the "luxury" class car with Hertz, you get $50 off for a week - see Hertz Coupon.)  Many times, the larger car with a car rental coupon is actually cheaper than a smaller car witthout a coupon.  Check it out on your next rental.

There is no reason to pay full price.  The webboards that report winning bids on Priceline and Hotwire are reporting bids for the Hyatt Key West for as low as $85/night (see this example).  That is so cheap...if you booked through traditional channels you might pay 3-4 times that amount.  In times of lackluster travel demand, it is important to remember that Priceline and Hotwire have access to incredible rates at many hotels - be sure to check out these websites when planning your next trip.
