Hotel parking rates can be outrageous - in some cities, it is common to see $30/day parking rates. It may pay for you to check around for parking alternatives to save some money on your next trip. Here are some good ways to find the best parking deals:

(1) Call the concierge. Though the bell desk or front desk may provide you the default answer that the hotel's overpriced parking is the best alternative, a good concierge knows about parking rates in the vicinity of the hotel and can give you good alternatives.

(2) Call a store located near the hotel. Stores that are located in busy areas are used to hearing questions from customers regarding affordable ways to find parking. Store clerks can often provide alternatives that you would otherwise not hear about during your trip.

(3) Call local parking garages. Parking garages may have special deals for overnight or early bird parking. You may also be able to work out a multi-day deal with a parking garage (that may have quite a bit cheaper than parking at your hotel).
