Travel Deal of the Day (May 14, 2008)
If you are looking to save money on your next trip or simply looking to find ways to expand your travel budget, you may want to start thinking about public transportation options available on your next vacation.
The Deal:
People often forget that public transportation options exist for traveling to and from airports in many cities. It is easy to remember that public transportation options exist to and from the airport in cities such as Washington, DC (people know that cities like Washington, DC have highly publicized subway systems). But many cities that do not have well publicized public transportation systems do (in fact) have public transportation options for travel traveling to and from the airport. In these times of high gas prices and parking charges, do not forget that using public transportation can save you a ton of money. In fact, the money you save by not paying for gas to and from the airport, airport parking and taxicabs from your destination airport to and from your destination hotel will often be enough to cover your airfare to your destination or enough to cover an additional hotel night at your destination.
